David-Ardam, Esq.
David Ardam grew up in New York City and Rockland County. He met his wife, Diane, at SUNY Albany. They married in 1976, and today have two grown children, Jackie and Eric.
An attorney, David graduated from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago with his law degree in 1979, and was admitted to the New York Bar that year. David opened the doors of his own law practice in 1984. In 1986 he founded the firm of Spada & Ardam and after 10 years as a sole practitioner, he recently became of counsel to The Palermo Firm. David concentrates his legal work in the areas of wills, trusts and estate practice. He is a former Associate Justice for the Village of Farmingdale Justice Court.
Dave joined the Rotary Club of Commack-Kings Park in 1983 and was president in 1987-88. At his club, Youth Exchange became David's focus for a number of years. Diane and Dave hosted five inbound Youth Exchange students, and both of their own children were Short Term outbounds. This experience has brought a global perspective to the Ardam household, and has inspired a love of travel and visiting in every corner of the world.
David served the District in a variety of positions, and was District Governor during Rotary year 2007-08. Dave served as Representative to the 2013 RI Council on Legislation and chaired the Merger Committee which was charged with overseeing the merger of Rotary Districts 7250 and 7260 into new District 7255. He is a past Chair of the Greater New York/Bermuda Multi-District PETS, and sat on the Executive Committee of the Mid-NE PETS. David served as District Trainer for several District Governors. He was the Rotary Leadership Institute District Co-Chair for about a decade, and serves his club as Rotary Foundation Chair and Executive Secretary. He is proud to be a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and a post-graduate and faculty member of the Rotary Leadership Institute. At present, David is also secretary and member of the Board of Directors of Gift of Life Long Island, New York.
