On April 19th, many exciting things happened in our Club.  Not only was our website in the middle of it's scheduled re-design, while Legislator Leslie Kennedy was presenting the importance of the various pieces of legislation currently floating around our area, including the new shopping bag bill and the substantial amount of food insecurity among Long Island's elderly, but we also had another exciting guest speaker - Edward Mikell - the founder of the 7 Cents Club of Commack.  Edward told us about the work he is doing to clean up the public areas of our town, removing littler, clearing public spaces and generally beautifying our town...

As the author of this post, I apologize for the delay in getting this information out, but there are only so many hours in a day and this exciting new initiative just got bogged down in a queue.  That being said, Edward's work is commendable and much appreciated.  Anyone in a position to help out should definitely do so, whether with their time, or their money.  Below is Edward's flyer, explaining the 7 Cents Club of COmmack, its origins and purpose, and even the basis for its name.  Edward's contact info is also there, so please reach out to him and join in!
